Pets From Mars is a small, independent pet shop run by James Orr in Foley, Alabama. It started with a simple frustration: the big pet stores sell thousands of products, and almost nobody checks whether the materials and ingredients in them are actually safe for the animal wearing, chewing, or sleeping on them.
So we check. Every product in this store is screened before it is listed — ingredients, materials, construction. When we found a product containing an ingredient toxic to cats, we pulled it, and we would pull the next one too. If it isn't something we would give our own pets, it doesn't stay on the shelf.
